ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe and Konarka Technologies are planning joint development work of organic photovoltaics for steel construction elements. The joint solution to be developed will not need to be mounted on a raised structure but will integrate smoothly into the building envelope. The idea is to integrate the organic photovoltaic technology into the production process for construction elements.
