Cost-saving lighting for the BF’s cast house 

The cast house of Europe’s largest blast furnace was equipped with an energy-saving lighting system. The most recent incident-light reading in spring 2012 confirmed that ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG has reduced energy consumption for light by around one third at the blast furnace Schwelgern No. 2 in the north of Duisburg.
